The Self-Employed Persons Program seeks to attract applicants who have the intention and ability to become self-employed in Canada. Self-employed persons are required to have the relevant experience that will make a significant contribution to Canada.

Self Employed persons are individuals who have a special  expertise such as musicians, athletes, doctors or journalists. There are many professions covered under this legislation. There is also a special category for farm management.
